This is a game that much more recently came out and is doing extremely well in the field - The Hunt For Neptune’s Gold: Treasures of the Deep. Its an enhanced version of an older Aristocrat franchise that I was tasked to update and refine the old artwork. Development year - 2023.
My primary roles on this game were to re-illustrate all characters and a vast majority of the symbols, along with directing other artists to refine the environments, backgrounds, and animations. I would also storyboard out the Spine animations for our Spine animators, and illustrated/animated/added special effects to the main topscreen idle of the main character of the game herself.
There was a ton of work to add - I chose to put the comparison and design processes I wrote to pitch my changes I’d made, as the company in general gets really nervous about re-designing old art. The main goal was to emulate the art style of a professional comic artist who was hired ages ago for the original game to create the topscreen comic for the game - and I was able to emulate and upgrade his style with high accuracy.
